Happy Dry January!

It’s not too late! Join us! You can start planning today and do it however it suits you.

If you are drinking more than usual, then you are not alone. Apparently, one in five adults in the UK are drinking more during lockdown. This time has been, and still is, a period of stress, uncertainty, anxiety, boredom and loneliness – all of which can be triggers for reaching for a drink.

about coronavirus and alcohol and download the free Try Dry App to double your chance of a totally alcohol-free month and long-term benefits.

If you’re struggling to control your drinking, or you would like to talk to someone about getting some support, we have a list of organisations offering remote services.

Vitamin D and Immune Boosters

The spread of COVID-19 has attracted huge interest in vitamin D. I have seen claims on social media that vitamin D is the "cure". These claims are not backed by evidence.

Our pharmacist helps you to make an informed decision when deciding whether or not to take the supplement, giving you a better understanding of how vitamin D can help, how you can obtain it free from the Department of Health, who should not be taking it and other supplements which will help boost your immune system.

Note: Please do not request a prescription for vitamin D, minerals or supplements. If you are entitled to vitamin D you will receive a letter from the government. If you do not receive a letter you can purchase from your pharmacy.
